My dream to share my heart is finally coming into a fulfillment. This blog is really one of the best mediums I could use in fulfilling that desire.
Once I never thought the real purpose of blogging and writing. For some they write maybe in order for them to share ideas and knowledge, maybe to supply their leisure needs, or just simply to destroy their desperate boredoms. I shall say all of these had also become my driving motivations in writing before. But as I grow up and learn things, my thoughts are also continuously evolving. I get higher perspectives now and more purposeful motives.
MY REAL PURPOSE
I pattern my way of writing to the way I live my life. What I think is what I write. What I act is what I say. Therefore, as I live in purpose, I write in purpose—purpose not to satisfy my own selfish needs but to gratify others and most especially, God. I am writing because I want to inspire others. My yearning is that God will use me to hearten the spirit of my readers and help them enhance their lives in a very special way. Moreover, this is to model Christianity to everyone. Far from being boastful and self-righteous, my real intention is to lift up and bless the One who truly sent me. Because my purpose in life is to serve Him and my fellows, I developed a heart in which I will live and write not for myself but for God.
A CALLING
Indeed this is a calling from God. To use my talents to proclaim His goodness and love is really a wonderful gift of insight. I always pray to Him to use me and tell me the right words to speak. I thank Him for giving me this superb talent of writing and ability to transcend into one’s deepest soul.
MOTIVATED BY LOVE
The greatest spur that moves me can be spelled out by a four-letter word, L-O-V-E—not the love that the world knows, but the love of God through His Son, Jesus Christ. I, myself, witnessed His existence and the pureness of His love to me and all of His creations. My goal is to convey that love to everyone. I ought to take up my cross, to follow Him and lay my life for my friends.
… to share what I have without minding what I will get something is return.
… to share my heart, that’s fully submitted to God.
This is what drives me. The love that I know… The love that He showed me… The love that is God’s…
INSPIRED TO INSPIRE
I came to a point of not realizing how I will inspire others. I wrote “my own way”. I was never lifted up nor satisfied by my aim to “write merely for self-expression”. Drifting to loneliness and several shallow realizations were not enough to fulfill my goal. Some only brought me into shame. Until I figured out the best technique to strengthen other’s life and enter to a person’s heart. I knew that I should enhance my life first so that I could enhance others’ lives also. The secret is just find out that I must first realize before I let others to realize.
ARTICULATION OF THE MESSAGE
Through having an intimate relationship with God, I’ve learned to discover what my life is really for. I’ve learned to live in a purpose. Some books also helped in contributing to my spiritual maturity. One of these books is I Kissed Dating Goodbye by Joshua Harris. I made a different perspective and attitude towards life, love, romance and relationship. As I embrace changes in my beliefs and development of my existing God-pleasing principles, my faith becomes greater. The other aspects of my life were just detailed.
In order for me to articulate the message well, first, I shall ask the Holy Spirit to guide me. Not my own hands will move alone but the Spirit of God will write for me. Second, it requires a lot of wisdom in every decision I will make, so I need to feed my spirit with God’s Word. The best thoughts lie on quiet devotions, sincere prayers and serious one-on-one conversation with God. Every day, through devotion, God tells me what to think and how to put those thoughts into actions and words. And lastly, I believe that I speak not for myself but for the glory of God. I learned to depend all of my understandings in accordance to His will and trust the Lord in everything I will do. Getting intimate with God first, before getting intimate with others is my top priority, thus, committing my whole life to Him.
MY ADVICE TO WISE WRITING AND BLOGGING
We need to set the real and right motives so that we could make articles that are worth reading and satisfying to our readers. The key here is not to write for you, but for other people and most especially for God. We need to utter the right words of wisdom. Knowledge is not enough. Fear the Lord and He will give you the precise wisdom and knowledge. Also, always remember that what you write reflects your own character and attitude towards life. How do you relate to others? Roughly or nicely? How do you deal with circumstances? Pessimistically of optimistically? Before putting what’s inside your heart into words, ask yourself: “Will this be pleasing to God? Will I not hurt anyone?” God wants us to remain blameless and pure with our thoughts, actions and words when we meet Him.
PERSONAL APPLICATION
It’s so cool to write. This is my passion. But what a more fulfilling to dedicate these little achievements to Someone who never fails to love me? It was Jesus, who left His throne to save me from all of my transgressions, and I could not repay Him for that (because His love is priceless and He never asks me to pay it). The best thing I could do, more than my worship and praise, is to love everybody—that includes you, reading this. With this God-given endowment, I live in this world to glorify Him and proclaim His Word; His love for you and me.
Well I hope these simple words of wisdom would remind you that God made you because He loves you so much. He provides everything for us so that we could use this in seeking His kingdom and righteousness. As you go on reading my blog, you will discover what’s behind my purpose and how God is telling me to carry out this to you. I’m just willing to share not only my life and soul, but the Gospel as well. My anticipation is that after reading my works, people will be moved by their realization that God truly loves them and that they will praise not me, but Him.
God bless you. God loves you more than you’ll ever know.
“Nothing matters more than knowing God’s purpose for your life, and nothing can compensate from not knowing them—not success, wealth, fame or pleasure. Without a purpose, life is a motion without meaning, activity without direction, and events without reason. Without a purpose, life is trivial, petty and pointless.”- Rick Warren, Author, Purpose Driven Life
